[Qgis-psc] Bugfix release?

Hi all.
IMHO it's a pity to leave so many fixed (and backported) issues around.
With the continuous flux of fixes we are currently enjoying, we may take
forever to reach the goal of a two weeks period without commits on the
bugfix branch. I would vote for a bugfix release, and for supporting the
necessary work with our own funds.
Are there good reasons not to do so?
