Thanks Giovanni for the analysis. IMHO it would be useful to accumulate
the pros and cons in a more stable place: a number of solutions and
issues have been raised (e.g. the integrated bugsquashing found by
Richard, the issue with ticket numbering raised by Nyall, etc.).
Once things are listed, I think a decision will be easier.
