[Qgis-psc] Getting rid of list of past sponsors at our website

Hi Andreas

I sent you and Paolo an email a few days ago about moving sponsorship management to the changelog.qgis.org. Its just the first version but it lets you create sponsors, sponsorship periods and sponsorship levels and then will automatically work out who is a sponsor for any point in time. On each version release it will list who were the current sponsors at the time of the release. So the idea is that all we need to do is :

* register new sponsors when they arrive to the project
* register sponsorship periods and levels each time a sponsor renews their agreement
* it will take care of the rest

So far I just copied a few sponsors into the system - I need help to get them all moved in. I am thinking there are lots of other things we can do with this e.g.

* make a sponsors page e.g. http://sponsors.qgis.org that shows all current and past sponsors
* generate a nice 'sponsors cloud’ image that can be placed onto promotional material (with logos scaled to the correct sizes based on sponsorship level)
* make some nice graphs and reports showing (hopefully) growing sponsorship levels over time

Right now I just have the basics implemented but we will gradually add the other nice bits over time.

Oh and I will add an RST exporter too so that we can easily generate a static page for the sphinx docs from time to time if folks prefer it as a static site.

I sent you (Andreas) and Poalo both credentials so that you can log in and try it. Let me know if there is anything that doesn’t work and I will fix it ASAP.

Regards

Tim
