Sorry if there is any confusion - the vote is only whether to introduce a ‘hard’ freeze (see previous discussion <http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/QGIS-Developer-Soft-freeze-for-QGIS-3-0-td5341486.html>) so as Nyall explained in his reply, it should not affect your work if you are tweaking and fix things that break API. The vote is going to happen every two weeks until there is majority agreement of those who respond to introduce the hard freeze.
