Thanks Richard, very interesting indeed!

I think with QGIS we've some very good things we can be very proud of
and that work well in making the sponsoring money go back to the
community (the grant program, docs budget, bug budget, ...).

Of course there are plenty of things we can still improve and the
article you send is for sure a good source of inspiration for what to
look out for.
