[Qgis-psc] Advertising Raster FileGeodatabase GDAL work via news feed?

Yep good idea, I've tried to help somebody too who recently, who had this 'closed source' data format from an 'Open Data' site :-(

But also to foster better options: do we, as OpenSource community and OPEN data lovers, have a viable/good alternative?
Would that be normal raster geopackages then?
Or is Esri still not able to write those?
As: we can also encourage all QGIS users to sent an email to xxx at dpipwe.tas.gov.au to use an open(/the other) format :-)
