Note that the OSGeo Sysadmin Committee [1] recommendation for Mailman
configuration [2] is to retain the sender's name, so it is up to QGIS
PSC to decide wether or not to implement those recommendations.

Not necessarely. PostGIS lists are retaining the original sender's
>From and letting receivers autonomously evaluate legitimacy of
received email...
