Hi PSC,
I'd also like to report the successful completion of the grant for adding
screenshots to PyQGIS reference documentation (
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Enhancement-Proposals/pull/333).
You can see some of the results of this work at the PyQGIS reference guide
site -- eg:
https://qgis.org/pyqgis/master/gui/QgsMapLayerComboBox.html
https://qgis.org/pyqgis/master/gui/QgsTableEditorDialog.html
https://qgis.org/pyqgis/master/gui/QgsColorButton.html
https://qgis.org/pyqgis/master/gui/QgsCodeEditorHTML.html
https://qgis.org/pyqgis/master/gui/QgsCodeEditorWidget.html
While the original proposal only promised screenshots for 100 classes, I
ended up adding over 150 🥳. After all the initial framework was developed,
the final process for adding screenshots is very straightforward and easy
to implement. (We've seen screenshots being contributed by other developers
too, and hopefully this trend continues!)
I believe this is a massive step forward towards a more user-friendly
PyQGIS language. Thanks for the opportunity to undertake this work!
Kind regards,
Nyall
