[Qgis-psc] Launch of the QGIS India User Group

Dear PSC,

I am happy to report that the QGIS user community in India has come
together and formed a local user group. The user group was formed at the
FOSS4G Asia 2026 conference at Nashik, India in January 2026.

We are also thankful for the support received from Lova and Tim who
helped setup our website at https://in.qgis.org/. <https://in.qgis.org/> Our
group members also contributed to improving the user group website template
and are eager to share and help other user groups who wish to host their
website on qgis.org.

In the short time since we started, we have a thriving community that has
contributed locally relevant case studies, tutorials, articles and has
started organizing events. We hope to grow the community and strengthen
India’s contribution to the global QGIS project.
