[qgis-qwc2] No editable layers

Hi all,

Is it possible to configure qwc demo app to edit geometries.
The attempts I made, despite having configured themes.json, i always get
the message "No editable layers" when I open the editing tool.

It is mandatory to use the feature - qwc-config-generator, or do i need
configure something else besides themes.json?
