confirmed, it works.
for the rest of us:
* dowload your .ts from

https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/QGIS/resource/qgis-application/l/$lang/download/for_use/
(replace $lang with your language: it etc.)

* save it under QGIS/i18n/qgis_$lang.ts
* open with linguist, and fix translations.

I'm unsure how to upload it back to tx.
