Hi!
I've had this similar problem the last couple of weeks. Some versions of the nightly build (I use OSGeo4W) seems to fail to get the latest translations from Transifex and older versions is used instead. Then the next day they are there again. Don’t know the reason.

Transifex Webtranslation page for QGIS is on https://www.transifex.com/qgis/

The source code in git contains very outdated ts files, and you need to
explicitly pull the translations from Transifex before compiling (it's what
e.g. the nightly build script does every time).

There is the scripts/update_ts.sh script, or you can simply run the only
important line from it:

tx pull -f -l it

(where it is the language code)

You'll need the tx (Transifex client) installed and api key configured, so for
a quick test you can just download the ts file from Transifex web page and
replace it manually in your source tree.

Hopefully it is the reason.

Borys

PS. Seems I'm getting old. No swear word in a whole mail about Transifex...
