While looking for a way to preview my work on http://docs.qgis.org/, I found that Serbian is never published. The strings are pulled into the repository normally - locale/sr/ exists on the release_3.44 branch with around 60 .po files - but 'sr' is not listed in supported_languages in docs_conf.yml, so the language is never built. Current Serbian coverage is about 20% - Transifex reports 7,958 of 40,127 source strings translated on release_3.44. release_process.md documents a 5% threshold for candidate languages, so Serbian is well clear of it. It looks like it was simply missed when 3.44 became LTR in February. I opened an issue with the details here: https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Documentation/issues/11113 The change is adding 'sr' to three files (docs_conf.yml, Makefile, docker-world.sh) plus the server publish command. I am happy to open the PR for the first three if that is useful - the server side I cannot do myself. I am actively translating and will keep coverage above the threshold. The 20% figure is wrong. That is what Transifex reports, but Transifex counts entries where the translation is identical to the English source. For Serbian almost all of them are exactly that - function names in functions_list.po, contributor names in contributors.po. Of 3,230 entries in locale/sr, 3,189 are verbatim copies of the source. Only 41 are real translations. The correct figure is on the project's own stats page: https://docs.qgis.org/3.44/en/docs/about/translation_stats.html Serbian is at 0.17%, not 20%. Well below the 5% threshold. So it was not missed when 3.44 became LTR - it was correctly excluded, and my request was based on a number I should have verified first. I have closed the issue (#11113). Sorry for the noise. I will keep translating and come back when the coverage is real. Best regards, Vladimir Vukovi? I'm a network planning and build engineer from Serbia and I use QGIS every day for FTTH/GPON design work. I would like to help translate the QGIS Desktop GUI into Serbian. I have a Transifex account (username: vukovicvlmma at yahoo.com and I sent a request to join the Serbian team on the QGIS Desktop project, but it is still pending. Could someone approve the request, or tell me who the current coordinator for Serbian is, so I can contact them directly? Short background: I'm the author of the FiberQ plugin in the official QGIS plugin repository, I have reported bugs and opened a feature request in the QGIS issue tracker, and I presented QGIS to the telecom sector at RIPE SEE 14 in Belgrade. Serbian is currently around 14%, so it does not ship with QGIS Desktop yet. I'd like to help change that. Best regards, Vladimir Vukovi? I?ve just carried out the analysis, this time including the .ts file for version 4.2, and I can see that some translations are missing. However, when I open the .ts file in a text editor, these strings do appear: It seems that the apostrophe (') at the start of the original string is causing the confusion 'EPSG:3857' 'EPSG:4326' {3857'?} 'LineString (2 0, 0 1, 6 1)' 'LineString (3 3, 4 4)' {2 0, 0 1, 6 1)?} thank you stefano [1] https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OexYpj_gf9lbcY4ahKxKrk-N0dNm7LWW?usp=sharing -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
