 The shell (still) is not used on windows.  So I think this bug never
 applied to Windows build.  {{{qtermwidget}}} doesn't work on windows (no
 fork() there - neither for MinGW nor MSVC).  So I wonder how this applies
 to minGW, but not MSVC.
