 1.) digitize a polygon[[BR]]

 2.) try to add a ring in the polygon[[BR]]

 3.) make a self intersection[[BR]]

 4.) qgis crashes with the following error message in the
 console[[BR]][[BR]]

 Warning 1: Ring Self-intersection at or near point -1.4855 1.57082
 *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (out): 0x0072a248 ***
