 I like to have an option to have different snapping options for different
 editable layers. It would be very useful to be able to make layer A
 snapping to layer X while edititng and layer B snapping to layer Y and in
 additionto that having layer C not to snap to any layer.


 This is not the same then the already exiting snapping behaviour which
 allows to snap to various layers in different ways but without taking care
 of wich layer is actively edited.
