 It would be nice if is becomes possible to define larger values as
 "default snapping tolerance in layer units" and "search radius for vertex
 edits in layer units".

 At the moment it is limited to the value 1000 and sometimes the value of
 1000m needs a lot of zooming for small scaled maps.
