 1. load line layer
  2. toggle editing mode
  3. aktivate node tool
  4. select line
  5. select some nodes -> selected nodes are drawn as squares
  6. move the selected nodes -> the squares are moved
  7. click undo -> the moved nodes are removed to the old position

 => the squares with the selected nodes are persistent in the new position.
