Comment:

 I edit regularly and didn't have any crashes.  Can you give more detail
 about the layers you edit and/or the editing you do?

 And are you sure the problem appeared with r10863?  The changes therein
 shouldn't affect normal editing.  It should only add more options when
 adding new attributes/columns to a layer/table.
