 Hi Paolo,

 can you be more specific?

 Do you refer to the "map units per map unit" selector in the "scale bar"
 configurations of the print composer?

 If yes, I also cannot see how it can be useful (but I may be missing
 something obvious) but I otherwise see no problem at all if the the map
 units are in degrees. See attached image.
