 As far I know, GPX files should use the WGS84 spatial reference system, as
 stated here:
 http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/#type_latitudeType

 So I think that the qgis_sample_data/gps/national_monuments.gpx - which
 uses a different system - should be converted.
