#3015: make feature form accessible from script (plugin)
-------------------------------------------+--------------------------------
Reporter: best | Owner: borysiasty
Type: enhancement | Status: new
Priority: minor: annoyance | Milestone: Version 1.6.0
Component: Python plugins and bindings | Version: 1.5.0
Keywords: api, feature form | Platform_version:
Platform: All | Must_fix: No

Currently the feature form is only accessible when the user clicks on a
feature with the info tool, opens ''actions'' and clicks on ''view feature
form'' (three clicks). From a plugin developer's point of view it would be
very handy to have an API method available to open the feature form for a
certain feature.
Example: new feature is created by plugin from some sort of user input
(selection, clicks...) and added to the layer, feature form pops up
automagically.
This issue has been discussed on the Qgis-developer mailing list.
