Comment:

 do you mean the name of the "symbol layers"?

 If yes I'm noticing another thing (on both linux and windows): no crashes,
 but clicking twice on the symbol layer name makes it editable, but then
 the name doesn't stick. If you duoble click it again the editable name is
 the one you choose previously and that didn't stick.
