[QGIS-uk-user] Help with mapping content

Hi Dean

When you say "spidering" do you mean connecting points with lines (aka hub lines) like spokes on a wheel? What have you tried?

For line features, i.e. the links, you can tell QGIS to merge features to remove duplicate labels.
For point features you could use rule based labelling to only show labels on certain features or the geometry generator and aggregate functions to create a layer used exclusively for labelling.
You might also be able to scale the feature on the number of aggregated features - more points in the same location = bigger feature.
The point displacement function might help too but I find that adds clutter at small scales and needs to be used with care.

How is your data structured?

StartID, StartX, StartY, EndID, EndX, EndY
A, 300000, 400000, W, 320000, 420000
A, 300000, 400000, V, 330000, 430000
...

Ross

Subject: [QGIS-uk-user] Help with mapping content

Hi,
I was wondering if any knows how to do 'clustering' or 'spidering' of multiple instances on 1 geo coordinate. Simply laying 1 instance on top of another only hides items and placing next or overlapping is a mess.
Thanks for any help.

Best,
