Good Morning or Afternoon QGIS US Listserve. A few things to kick off 
your day. I won't be spamming the International users list with this 
info So if you know someone here in the US that isn't on the US QGIS 
Listserve just forward it to them if you want.

We had a Birds of a feather meeting at FOSS4GNA in St Louis. Due to time 
zone issues it actually turned into 2 meetings with a pretty lively crowd.

  * We are kickstarting the QGIS US Users group. I'm getting a lot of
    weird Requests from people and while I enjoy answering questions -
    I'm not the gatekeeper.
  * Due to life - we have a new web address - QGIS-us.org. I have
    temporarily stood up wordpress just to have something so IF YOU WANT
    TO WORK ON THE WEBSITE AND YOU HAVE SKILLS. Volunteer.
  * I think it's time to move to Discourse (Not Discord). It's a bit of
    an upgrade from the current email list. Several other QGIS groups
    have made the move and it will give us a spot to be more
    collaborative. If there are no complaints - I'd love to throw the
    switch.
      o Speaking of Collaborative - Are there any other QGIS User groups
        in the US? State Based? I heard a rumor there was one in Maryland.
  * We'll starting having monthly meetings just to talk. Possibly stand
    up a working group over Hangouts or Jitsi or Whatever.

What's the plan?

  * FOSS4GNA 2025 - We are a appreciable impact on the conference.
    During the year we get people are getting connected and talking.

I know that's a bit more than you're used to getting on this list. 
Things are happening - and it's a good thing.
