[Qgis-user] vectors

Greets:

Yesterday I asked about NOAA S-57 charts and got little response. Discussing 
the issue on IRC it seems that the vector read function is limited to one 
layer. Is there a particular reason why this is the case as there are many 
formats and files that offer multi layers if I understand all this correctly.
