Sure, there is the Zoom To Point plugin :-) ( Plugins > Pugin
Manager...)

The new release features (again) the exciting tool Coordinate Capture!
Unfortunately it was not included in qgis0.11 so I could "advertise it"
through the ISPRS Newsletter :-(
