QGIS-ers and Carson,

I am trying to give step-by-step directions (below) to just make a
simple reprojection of a vector map (Shapefile) from within QGIS using
the ftools.

The problem is that there is no shift on the data and the "On the fly"
option is _not_ checked. Is this a bug?

# Load Shapefile

# If not asked for the Projection System define it like:
Settings > Project Properties > CRS > search for ETRS89 and select it >
ΟΚ
# Apply this CRS a a global default
Settings > Options > CRS > Project wide default CRS will be used

and

Select global default > search for ETRS89 and select it > ΟΚ > OK

# Load ftools (given the repositories are already checked-out)
Manage Plugins > ftools

# Export to new projection
  i. Tools > Data Management Tools > Export to new projection
ii. Select the "Input vector layer"
iii. Select "Use predefined spatial reference system" > Choose
iv. Select the reference system that corresponds to epsg:2100 > OK
  v. Click on "Browse" and give an output path/name > Save
vi. OK > Yes when it asks if it should be added to TOC > Close

# activate the "new" layer, etc.
