[Qgis-user] Why no proper QGis Windows installer yet?

I have tried to install KORE version of QGIS into a vista machine using the OSGEO4W package with only some success.

I am not in any position to help with building an installer but may I suggest that until an installer is available, could one of the many knowledgeable persons offer a list of which of the myriad items in teh OSGEO package is required for KORE to have full functionality, please?

There are a number of versions of certain items, other items suggest they are only at developmetn stage and unstable.  Frankly I was not sure what items I needed to select to ensure a fully functional install.
