[Qgis-user] Installing QGIS on CentOS?

Hi Bruce,

months ago I wanted to install qgis on centos (5.2) and also did not find 
adapted packages. The only solution I found was compiling the required things 
by myself. This however was smooth and without complications. Ok, the 
mentioned system is 32bit, don't know about 64... For most of the dependencies 
(e.g. Qt-libs) packages are probably available somewhere. Gdal, geos and proj 
would be the compile candidates.
