Hey Bob,

Thanks for the explenation. I have now worked it out with a GPS Simulator
from
Franson called GPSGate ( http://www.franson.com/gpsgate/ ) over a virtual
COM Port.
Maybe nice to know for people who want to test the plugin but don't have a
GPS
receiver.

The Tracker is working so far but some improvements would be quite nice:
- While tracking the icon is blinking with a white square when updating its
position.
This only happens when you have colored background data. The more data you
add
to the map in the slower the tracker is working.

- The option to stop the automatic centering would be nice
