[Qgis-user] Attribute Data Types for ESRI Shapefiles

Hello list

when i create a new vector layer (ESRI Shapefile) with QGIS 1.2.0, there
are only 3 possibilities (string, int, real) for an attribute data type.
Is it intended to provide other dBase data types like date or logical
(bool) in QGIS for new vector layers?
