[Qgis-user] where the "diagram overlay" menu has gone?

Hi all,
I am experiencing a very odd problem, I really hope I am missing
something obvious. 

I cannot see anymore the "diagram overlay" menu in the vector
properties. The odd thing is that I cannot find a pattern: I can see
this issue in qgis 1.4/dev installed in ubuntu 9.04/9.10/windows but not
in all machines (I have noticed the problem during a course were there
are 10+ attendees -> many different setups).

Anyone else is seeing this?
