Hi,
I'm having problems trying to run the GRASS plugin from within QGIS1.4.
I get the message:
"QGIS couldn't find your GRASS installation.
Would you like to specify path (GISBASE) to your GRASS installation?"
After choosing yes, I attempted to:
-Navigate to /Applications/GRASS-6.4.app, and select this path as "GRASS installation path
(GISBASE)
-Navigate to /Applications/GRASS-6.4.app/Contents, and select this path as "GRASS installation
path (GISBASE)
-Navigate to /Applications/GRASS-6.4.app/Contents/Resources, and select this path as "GRASS
installation path (GISBASE)
The same message appears...
Then I tried (from an internet forum...):
-----
Selecting the GRASS GISBASE inside GRASS.app is tricky. First,
before running Qgis, right-click GRASS.app and Show Package
Contents. Now command (apple)-option drag the Contents folder from
there to your desktop.
Now you can start Qgis and when asked for GISBASE, navigate into the
GRASS.app package with this alias. Select the Resources folder as
the GISBASE.
-----
After navigating into the GRASS.app from the link (which can be tricky because it doesn't show), I get
exactly the same message. ("QGIS couldn't find your GRASS installation...")
Lastly, I trashed <org.qgis.QGIS.plist> hoping it would find it automatically. No luck.
I've installed GRASS6.4 (in /Applications)
My system is Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L31a), running on a Macbook2.4.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance...
António
