[Qgis-user] Disappearing points and polygons

I'm having a similar problem. When I turn on 'on the fly', my orthophotos
disappear (ecw). They don't come back when I turn off on-the-fly. They're
still in the right place but they're invisible. The same thing happened with
a simple point file as well. I'm confused! 

I'm using Mimas on Snow Leopard.
