how about setting up a central repo
 Some suggestions:

I´m trying to make all my mapsymbols (about 1800) and some of my OGC/WMS
1.1.1 SLDs and QML files public in Sweden.

My first try was with Dreamweaver/Spry
http://www.gisassistans.se/SLDoKStabell_ans100605_v3
<http://www.gisassistans.se/SLDoKStabell_ans100605_v3%20.html> .html and
here you can see QMLs as well.

Click on the small 50x50px STYLE-image and you get a 400x400px version.
Click on SLD and in IE8 you get the code. In FireFox you have to open the
SLD file and I use XML copy editor.

I had to change to mySQL/PHP because Dreamweaver/Spry didn´t manage (to
slow) 37 000 rows of mapsymbol metadata in HTML!

This is my current mySQL/PHP test, before I export all mapsymbols to mySQL
from FileMaker 8.5 Pro.

00627%200752%20gisass_se.php> KS_ID 100627 0752 gisass_se.php

Click on the mapsymbolpicture and you will se the original picture.

All in Swedish - sorry! But I think you get the idea.

Perhaps something like this could be a way to share our QMLs, SLDs and also
mapsymbols?

I think it is VERY IMPORTANT to have a picture showing the result of the
QML, SLD or mapsymbol.

I´ve got the idea from

http://data.aad.gov.au/aadc/symbology/search.cfm?start=40
<http://data.aad.gov.au/aadc/symbology/search.cfm?start=40&search_word=&sear
ch_type=SYMBOL_FEATURE_NAME&symbol_type=POLYGON>
&search_word=&search_type=SYMBOL_FEATURE_NAME&symbol_type=POLYGON

I also whish that the QML2SLD question was activated.

I just don´t understand why QGIS is built on QML instead of SLD 1.0, but as
it is, it would be very nice to be able to generate styles both ways, i.e.
QML2SLD and SLD2QML.

If I can be of any help I´m willing to do my best. My strength is not
programming, but I suppose there is other work to be done.
