[Qgis-user] saves as... sqlite overwrites database file

Is it possible to save a vector layer as a sqlite table, into an *existing* sqlite file?

When using the context menu, and "Save as" option, I am only able to save to a new sqlite file, in fact creating a single layer db, which is very unfortunate... (using 1.5)
