[Qgis-user] batimetric values

Hello All,
I suppose qgis works with 3d batimetric values. In those cases how to tell
the program the altitude is under sea level? We create a field in attribute
table and add the minus (-) prefix to the altitude level? Something like
this:
| point 1| Aveiro | -23|
| point 2| Aveiro | -13|
