[Qgis-user] Qgis nightly build in Ubuntu uses older GDal than stable build

Hallo

I want to try the PostGIS raster plugin which needs GDAL >1.7

QGIS 1.6 in Ubuntu is compiled against GDAL 1.7.3 or something like
that, but I have the nightly build which is compiled against 1.6.3.

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask, but is there a reason for this or
would it be possible to get the nightly build QGIS maybe even against
GDAL 1.8 (latest released GDAL)
