[Qgis-user] Very slow performance with large SHP files, with over 200k objects

I really hope that this problem is addressed in V 1.7
I'm using Windows version, QGIS 1.6
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Ram 4 GB
Intel Core i5 Processor
still its so slow,..
