[Qgis-user] how to build new symbol?

Hi,
I usually work in arcgis 9.3. I will try work using QGIS 1.6.0 on windows 7.
In ArcGIS, I can see more example symbol like ESRI, forestry, geology, and
so much. So, I can choose a proper symbol for a class.
In QGIS, where is it? May be no example symbol like ArcGIS. May be in QGIS,
user has to build new symbol his self. So, how to do it?
