[Qgis-user] changing the default behavior for "coordinate reference system of new layers" in QGIS general options?

+1 from me.

Many times too I didn't realise that QGIS was assigning the default CRS
instead of reading it from incorrect, but present, metadata. So I
switched to "prompt for CRS" as default.
