[Qgis-user] how to display longitude and latitude

Ah, what you want is to add a grid (aka graticule).
This can be done in the map composer with the Grid section of the map
Item. Or you can make a grid layer from the Vector menu and use the
labeling.
The first option is probably more of what you want.
