Mostly guessing here but it looks like the query builder in QGIS uses % as
its modulo operator.
Try more traditional syntax like (this returns no errors in my QGIS):
"Elevation"%25=0
(Although wouldn't you want that to be 100 not 25?)

Subject: [Qgis-user] Only show some of the contours using a query
builder
Sent by: qgis-user-bounces at lists.osgeo.org
I have a shapefile containing 5 foot contours and I would only like to
show
100 foot contours. I am guessing I could use the query builder in the
layer
properties but I don't know how to write the query.
Is this possible?
I know how to do this in ArcGIS (MOD ( "Elevation", 25) = 0) but the same
code does not work in QGIS.
