[Qgis-user] openlayers layers without properties is it possible to alter brightness/contrast

Very primitive solution for any maping software: create an layer with a 
polygon covering the region of the interest. Position just above the 
layer to be dimed. Make the polygon white and semi-transparent. That's it.
