[Qgis-user] help with MySQL connection error

hi, new to list and need to be pointed in the right direction

Here is what I'm trying to do:
connect to MySQLExpress server instance named "Census" which is local.

Here is the error:
"New Database connection requested...

Connection to [localhost.Census] failed: Driver not loaded Driver not
loaded"


I keep getting an error that I need to install a driver. Not sure exactly
what is missing. Have uninstalled/reinstalled bot MySQL and QGIS and still
get the error. Can anyone point me to the correct solution?
