[Qgis-user] What hardware for QGIS

 Hi,

 Thanks for the replies, very helpful.

 Looks like I will be going for Ubuntu VMs for Q-GIS, but a full 
 seperate windows boot for Arc and Manifold.

 I assume I can reference any drive on the machine from Ubunto 
 regardless of whether it is in a Windows file system or the Mac file 
 system (i.e. so I can do part of the work such as output cartography in 
 Arc/Manifold)?
