[Qgis-user] Problems with qgis 1.8 on win7

I was just looking at your project in ubuntu. I was able to open it and see everything with not a problem. I noticed that you have a google hybrid layer as background. Could this be the problem? In ubuntu I was able to install the open layers plugin in Q Gis 1.8. I can not do the same in windows.  It is just an idea....

Sorry rookie mistake ....Nevertheless, I ran 
qgis --noplugins
Qgis loads, but when I tried to load the project I get the "bad allocation" error...
