you can create a table with lat/long coordinates, save it as csv, then you can use the csv import plugin and specify the correct csv (epsg 4326 or else)

Hello,
Lets say I have a set of lat/long coordinates that i would like to add
as points to an existing layer in my map. How would i do that?? I saw
that the numerical vertex editor plugin will let me add x,y coordinates
but that has to be in reference to something and i don't know what the
reference is. It would be much handier to be able to just add the points
via lat/long coordinates.
Thanks for your help,
