[Qgis-user] Forestry Week? (was Case sensitive)

Noli,

Thanks for the suggestions.

I am currently at the point where I am attempting to define what elements
are needed, and determine the potential routes for incorporating them into
QGIS in one manner or another. I'll look at Kexi and it's integration into
QGIS. In either case, I want to make sure whatever is developed is easily
understood and implemented by a variety of foresters with diverse
backgrounds and technical know-how.

Further down the line, I think it would be worthwhile to look at all
forestry tools developed for QGIS and determine whether or not the overlap
warrants a combination into a comprehensive toolkit. In either regard, I
need to start on the above first.

If anyone else is interested in developing a forest inventory and analysis
toolkit for on-the-ground forestry in GIS, please let me know. While I am
by no means a knowledgeable programmer, I do plan to develop the
appropriate knowledge to implement these ideas and coordinate with other
interested individuals.
